Some of the “little people” who star in the recent anti-Romney ad attributed to a super-PAC supporting Newt Gingrich (though, who cares who was behind that piece of trash, really?) say they didn’t say those bad things about Bain, and by direct implication, Romney. So – you’re busted, Newt!
Here’s the WSJ story on that, which IFO hasn’t seen quoted anywhere else. The comments on this story are really lame, so don’t waste your time reading them.
Here’s Fox News on the subject – very inferior to the WSJ one, in our opinion. We guess Fox News got tired of people hatin’ on ’em.
Here’s the rant you knew was coming:
Now that you have seen, one, just one! example of how negative advertising is based on twisted, wrong information and distorted allegations, you can’t say you didn’t know how it was done. We don’t want to hear any of you talking about being “scared” of some candidate. Whatever they are, they cannot do this country any harm ON THEIR OWN. They need our acquiescence to get away with it – deficits, wars, intrusions on our privacy, etc.
They must fear US – the people. This is a wonderful free country, which has brought peace and prosperity to most of its citizens. Our form of government guarantees freedoms that people in many other countries just dream of.
We’re fully aware of the depredations visited upon us by TSA, EPA, NDAA and other alphabet laws and agencies.
It is up to US – the people, to make them stop. Most of those laws and agencies have been promoted by huge majorities in Congress, because Congresspeople are too busy or distracted or ignorant to recognize a bad law when it comes sailing at their heads.
It is up to US – the people, to stop those bad laws with help from our special interest groups, who alert us and get us to light up the switchboards in DC.
Cynicism is the prelude to despair. Despair is the prelude to collapse. Collapse is the prelude to death. Remember what Moses said,
I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: Therefore choose life. [Deut 30:19]
