SWI and MPI reports

Hmmm, late again, but still in time to pick up the latest reports. Our Swiss watch, which originally cost $50 and SFR 50, now costs $55.77. The Swiss money managers seem to have very fine financial motor controls. They tinkered with the value of the Swiss franc and now it is almost exactly where they said they wanted it.

In other end-of-week news, Gold closed at $1669, Silver ended the week at $31.46, and petroleum finished at $87.75/bbl. BTW, we noticed during our drive to the Coast that gas prices at stations were all over the map, from $3.59/gal. to $3.81/gal.

The big runup in the stock indexes this week helped our Model Portfolio gain ground, too.
