Climate change, global warming are so over. Now it’s climate adaptation!

All the fuss over the climate is over. It’s time to move on to the next crisis. Just take a look at a few recent items we found on the Web:

Bonn Climate Talks Fail to Resolve Future of Kyoto Protocol Big meeting. Nothing happened. Again.

The Failure of Al Gore: Part One  Al Gore is done. Finished. Irrelevant.

The Failure of Al Gore: Part Deux  Author Walter Russell Mead finishes him off.

Walter Russell Mead Takes On Al Gore, and Scores a Devastating Knockout! A review of the above two essays.

Seems the City of McMinnville hasn’t caught on to this trend. They’re devoting $300 a year for membership in this group that is so last-century. Financing the Resilient City , a publication posted on the pages of the City of McMinnville.

IFO has been trying to wade through the turgid prose, but all she’s found out so far is that they are obsessed with leverage and new methods of financing. Leverage? Isn’t that what caused the recent world financial collapse?

The publication is put out by a group called ICLEI – couldn’t find out what it stood for.  We’ll let you know when we find out. Something about climate no doubt. These are the geniuses who have intuited that global warming and climate change are finished. They are introducing the new term: climate adaptation. This means that no matter what happens you can have a crisis.

Finally, they believe, the “deniers” have had their argument taken away. You have to adapt to the climate, right? Right? All we have to do is leverage – that is, go into massive debt. Dumb.

Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.
