Missed a post – here’s why

IFO doesn’t normally whine in public, but we missed making a post yesterday and feel the need to explain our absence.

First, she had a number of errands that involved driving all over town. One of those errands was her self-assignment to BUY PLANTS and SEEDS!

She has grown comfortable seeing lots of her own canned veggies and fruits in her pantry, so imagine her discomfort to discover that her cupboard was nearly bare and her garden wasn’t in. The extremely cold and wet winter and spring meant no garden was possible.

Then, suddenly the weather jumped up to 70ºF  and dry. The lawn guys got the raised beds tilled and she called a neighbor to speed the planting process.

All was well and good, but now disaster struck. Her previously beloved credit union had merged with another big credit union in another state. End of May was account integration time. We won’t go into the gory details (numerous calls to Quicken and the CU), but suffice to say that things peaked yesterday. Can you say “meltdown?”

Hence, no post.

Have no fear though. IFO solved her problem. She just gave up and went to bed. In the middle of the night, the solution came to her. This morning at the crack of dawn, she was back at her computer, making the necessary adjustments in Quicken.

All is well now. Whew!!
