Dollar still circling the drain

That gurgling sound is the dollar as it slowly swirls down the drain. IFO had a different plumbing analogy in mind, but decided it was too undignified for a blog that purports to advise singles on approaches to investing their own money.

However, her Swiss watch has just increased in $ value to $55.31! For those of you keeping track, the watch started out last Spring, May 2010, at $50 USD. That’s what she paid in Switzerland in SFrs which had a value then of $50 USD. That’s a 10 percent decline in value (relative to Swiss francs) in less than one year.

As we mentioned a few days ago in Consequences of Shrinking Dollar, this is not an insignificant or unimportant trend.

About InvestingforOne

Plus, there is more to investing than money. Time, talent, work, friends, family all go into developing a good and satisfactory strategy.
